Five years ago, a Saturday plan in Pooler meant deciding which way to drive. East to River Street, south to the mall, or stay home. This summer, the calendar looks different. A 117-acre mixed-use project is under public review off Pooler Parkway, a hometown cover band is headlining a city-sponsored drone show at the rec complex, and the Tanger Outlets lot has been booked for back-to-back festivals since June.
The story of Pooler in 2026 is not that more people are moving here. It is that residents no longer have to leave to fill a weekend.
The block that will reshape a Pooler Saturday
The biggest single change coming to Pooler this summer is a project most residents have only seen from the Parkway.
